Highy Rated: The Fourth KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards Celebrated The Biggest and Best In Urban Culture
Last night saw some the biggest names in the UK urban scene come together for the fourth annual GRM Daily and KA Drinks Rated Awards.
Taking place at the Eventim Apollo, the show as packed with personalities from the world of Sport, and entertainment, and was by hosted comedian, Mo Gilligan, and App/Beats1 presenter, Julie Adenuga.
Both presenters who did their job from the auditorium, interacted with the audience, kept them entertained, and filled stop gaps. Once again it can be argued that Mo Gilligan was the man of the night with his witty oneliners and great improvisational skills.
There were of course performances from some of the rising stars and established artist from UK rap and grime; Giggs, Suspect, Kojo Funds, Ray BLK, AJ Tracey, Not3s, and D Double E .
The highlight of the night was “Your favourite grime MC, favourite grime MC”, D Double E picking up the GRM Legacy award, who did a big performance incorporating a mini grime set bringing on stage fellow Newham general, Footsie, and former N.A.S.T.Y. crew member, Ghetts.
It was another great night of celebrating the achievements of various individuals in the scene, while the show suffered from a few minor hiccups, overall the show production, and overall performances were a step up from last year.
Congratulations to the GRM Daily team for a successful night of celebration,we look foward to it returning bigger and better in 2019.
