[Music News] @Meridian_Dan’s original ‘ #GermanWhip’ video shifts gears and cruises to 2M views on YouTube

Officially the biggest tune on the underground at the moment, Grime MC Meridian Dan’s anthem, ‘German Whip’, has broken through the 2 million views mark on the YouTube, and at the time of writing this article, as can be seen in the image above was at 2,074,424 views.

The track has been picking up momentum, and after a long struggle with the BBC,  Radio One finally caved in and decided to playlist the track, which has probably given it a further boost.

The original video was uploaded to YouTube on September, 29, 2013, and we reported on February 19, 2014 that ‘German Whip’ had smashed through the 1M views mark.

Since then Meridian Dan has dropped the official ‘German Whip’ remix, inviting fellow MCs, Skepta, Professor Green, Bossman Birdie, and Rizzle Kicks to join him on the ode to deutsch engineering, and has also filmed a new video for ‘German whip’ to coincide with the launch of his new Vevo account.

He’s currently hard at work promoting the single, performing up and down the country on the BDL Tour (Performing tonight, March 29, in Birmingham, at Boxxed),  and putting the final touches to his forthcoming album, ‘I Am London’ due for release later this year.
