Dagenham’s finest Devlin returns to bring us his brand new album – ‘Eyes For The Blind’ released on EGA Records.
Running at 45 min 2 seconds and 14-tracks deep- ‘Eyes For The Blind’ sees Devlin deliver his trademark rapid multiple-syllabic flow, over hard hitting production that sits between grime, and hip-hop with experimental electronic music influences brought together with soulful an airy pop-vocal choruses.
Delvin mixes reflective bars about challenges coming from a working-class environment, with philosophical questions. He gets conceptual on – ‘Afterlife’ speaks to those who’ve passed and gives his perspective on the otherside, and gets reflective on his link-up with fellow Essex rapper Potter Payper on ‘No Place Like Home’ reminising on growing up in Dagenham.
Contemplating Fatherhood Delvin speaks to his Unborn child about the world they would be coming into and reveals his fears regarding the magnitude being a parent.
Making guest appearances on ‘Eyes For For The Blind‘ include the likes of; Jme, Frisco, Syer B, Yizzy, Asher D, Matt Linen and Potter Payper.
The production on the album is handled by frequent collaborator Lewi B and Jimmy Sharp
