Socially conscious UK hip-hop collective  The Peoples Army  return to close out 2021 with the release of  their brand new album – ‘P.I.L.I’.

Running at 57 min 30 seconds and 14-tracks deep, P.I.LI. brings together long-time established members and some newer ones to deliver a jam packed project of diverse production from headnood boom bap, to more drilly bass vibes, soulful vocals and raw rhymes.

At a time when it it seems that collectives don’t seem very popular, it’s good to hear various emcees coming together on a project.  As can be expected there’s tracks that challenge the status quo of the capitalistic society, and along with tracks less politically-driven such the final track ‘Wavey’, which has more of a summer vibe.
