BRITHOPTV: [New Release] Clavish (@Clavish) - '2022' E.P. OUT NOW! [10/12/21] | #UKRap #UKHipHop

North London rapper  Clavish ends the year with a little teaser of what to expect in future in his prophetic-titled new EP ‘2022’.

The 5-track project running at 15 minutes 17 seconds is mostly mid-tempo groovy offering that allows for Clavish to bring his simple but effective brand of road rap. Kicking things off with haunting piano-solo “Blue Plate”  in which he speaks from the from of the perspective of being behind bars. While the track sets the scene nicely giving the right emotional feel to accompany the lyrics, it feels a little long for a intro track that is quite sombre.

Things pick up with the bouncy west-coast inspired track ‘Like This’ and continued on the track ‘Jungle Mood’ what details the mindset of being on the roads, in flow and cadence that has a Potter Payper feel to it, follow by ‘Bad Influence’ which is a hard body trap-anthem.

Clavish closes with ‘Aint Gonna Lie’ which brings the mood back to how the EP started, deep and emotive as he reflects on failed friendships, street tales girls and death.

Production on 2022 comes courtsey of: Jonathan Hoskins, Nick French, NADDA, Droski, Chucks and Hazey.
