Nottingham-based Hip-Hop artist/producer, Juga-Naut follows up his project ,’The Purple Door’, with his brand new album, ‘Bon Vivant’ released independantly.
Running at 44 minutes, and thirteen-tracks long, ‘Bon Vivant’ sees VVV’s Juganuat continue his formula of layering 70’s/80’s samples with silky-smooth asbtract wordplay. In terms of vibe the project is more laid-back with a strong boom-bap foundation, but has the ocassional upbeat moment like on the track, ‘M1 North Feat. Stickman’ which has a garage flavour. Nicknamed the Chef Jugz, Juga-Naut lightly sprinkles his tracks with food-related lines, while serving-up his lyrical dishes in his signature style, displaying his lyricism, whit, thought process and braggadocio.
‘A bon vivant enjoys fine dining, socialising and traveling in style — in general, he prefers the most luxurious experiences. The phrase is French, meaning “one fond of good living” or “one who lives well,”
Production duties on ‘Bon Vivant’ are partly handled by the man himself with a helping hand from the likes of; Capo, Joe Buddha, Micall Parknson, Mr Brown and Hayabusa. Joining Juga-Naut on the album are fellow Nottingham artists; Scorzayzee, Capo , Vandal Savage and Tommy Nova.
