It’s A Rap!: Storytelling Genius Rapman Signs on The Dotted Line With With Island Records.

South east London rapper, Rapman has announced via social media that he has inked a deal with music industry powerhouse, Island Records.

Sharing the good news with his fans Rapman wrote:

“🎉🎉🎉🙏🏾🙏🏾What a year this has been for me so far!! From 2013 releasing song after song, visual after visual for 5 years straight all independent no distribution or label, every year was more discouraging then the last seeing other artists climb while happy for them I always wondered why not me? Am I good enough? I had certain friends and others saying your story telling rap won’t get you no where and I should switch it up if I wanna succeed but I didn’t listen I knew my ting was special I stuck to what I love and listened to the friends and fans who enjoyed what I did, I stuck to my guns and today I can announce I have signed a deal with @islandrecordsuk #islandlife🌴 Special thanks to those who pushed me to keep going and my little bros @joivan_wade @percelleascott who made it all happen. This is just the start people them tables have started to turn #ThankGod 🙏🏾”

The announcement follows the release of part 2 of Rapman‘s critically-acclaimed, ‘Shiro Story’ featuring the likes of; Michael Dappah, Konan, and Cadet, which racked up a whopping 1 Million views in 28 hours from its release, and was trending on Twitter.

Wasting No time, Rapman let his fans know that the third instalment is on its way, posting the following on instagram: “Due to popular demand we’re coming back soon with SHIROS STORY 3!!! I’ve already got the story down just need to put it into music. Tell me though what do you want to see happen in Pt.3?? 👀🤔
