The Queens Honours List was released to the public on the December, 29, 2017 which revealed that grime pioneer, Richard Kylea Cowie, or Wiley Kat, and now simply Wiley, had been recognised for his contributions to music and the community and was to be awarded with an MBE.
Today March 2, on one of the coldest days in recent times with the UK being hit with a few days of snow, Wiley aka Eskiboy attended the Investiture at Buckingham palace to receive his honour.
He was presented with his award by Prince William, who he greeted in the with a bow, before the future king of England proceeded to attach his medal of honour to his jacket lapel. Following being presented with his honour Wiley proudly posed outside for the press. One of the press photographers asked Wiley to “Smile”, to which he boldy responded: “It’s Too Cold”
