Grime and DnB Scene Morn The Loss of MC Stormin Who Died Following A Two Year Battle With Skin Cancer.
Legendary grime MC Stormin who later went on to make a name for himself in the DnB scene, has died following losing a his battle with skin cancer, which he was diagnosed with two-years-ago according to reports.
As news started to spread online tributes to the grime pioneer started to flood in from some of the biggest names in grime and DNB such as; Sharky Major, Wiley, Ghetts,D Double E, Harry Shotta, and DJ Fabio.
Fellow N.A.S.T.Y crew member and best friend, Sharky Major made the announcement on twitter writing;
Earlier around 7am this morning my best friend & brother we all loved, Stormin passed away. So proud of this man, achieved so much & what a warrior! Been close for 20+ years and I’ve just walked in from the hospice so glad I saw you once more again today my bro! RIP STORMIN! pic.twitter.com/458sxCNBRO

The Godfather Of Grime, wiley expressed his condolences simply saying:

Drum N bass MC Harry Shotta reflected on the friendship he developed with Stormin posting the following on Twitter.

The N.A.S.T.Y crew member since making his diagnosis public in 2016, kept his fans informed of his situation throughout. Fans were delighted when in November 2016 he tweeted that he had been given the all clear, and was cancer free.
Sharing the news on social media he wrote: ‘Back from the hospital and it’s time to get the bottles out man is cancer free the feeling is unreal.’
Unfortunately, the remission was only temporary and Stormin had be rushed back to hospital, and January 24 posted a picture stating he couldn’t swallow and was having problems breathing.
Posting on Instagram he wrote: ‘Back in hospital gotta stay in over night because I couldn’t swallow this morning or breath propa I thought I was gonna die so I give thanks to the king almighty Jah Rastafari and my woman because I honestly thought I wouldn’t be alive today.’
His last update was 10 days ago, he posted a picture on Instagram a with the caption: ‘hospice keeping strong and fighting hard. praise JAH’
