Young Kings Salute Young Lions: Hip-Hop artist Krept And Konan perform an alternate version of their track dedicated to England’s under 20’s Football teams
South London rap-duo, Krept & Konan have hooked up with BBC Sport to record a special version of their song ‘Wo Wo Wo’ for their annual Sports Personality Of The Year Award.
The Play Dirty rhymers re-wrote their verses for this new remix dubbed ‘Wo Wo Wo/ Young Lions’ incorporating a football theme, in a tribute to the success of England’s Young Lions, with World Cup wins for the under 17s & under 20s and a Euros victory for the under 19s to celebrate this year.
In true Krept And Konan fashion their refix is full of witty-lines, as they give a lyrical-report on the achievements of the Young Lions over the last 12 months in various competitions.
Off the back of the success of their latest mixtapes, ‘7 days’ & ‘7 Nights’ both charting in the Official UK Albums Chart Top 10, at No. #7 and No. #9 respectively, they’ve been busy doing pop-up shows around the UK, and launched their Positive Direction Foundation, an after school programme for disadvantaged teenagers.
