Lyrical Beef Squashed: North London MC Chip And Lyrical Rival Mancunian Bugzy Malone Call A Truce
Chip and Bugzy Malone sent social media into frenzy, but not for the reasons you might think.
Earlier this morning both MCs shocked the UK scene when they posted a picture, on their Instagram and Twitter accounts together both smiling, looking happy and seemingly comfortable around each other, at Giggs’ Christmas party.
Not giving much away about the nature of their truce, Chip simple accompanied the picture with the words: “CM X 0161.. @TheBugzyMalone Game changed. One love”. and later
Bugzy Malone also remaining tight-lipped about the situation, tweeted the same referencing Chip‘s record label: “@officialchip Cash Motto GAME CHANGED”
Reactions to this revelation were a mixture of delight, sarcasm, and relief. Chip and Bugzy Malone‘s lyrical warefare was furious, and will go down in history as one the biggest grime dub-clashes.
With both artist having a huge loyal fan base it left a divide among the supporters of grime , with fans of each artist getting involved in their own back-and-forth arguments on social media.
One fan expressed his happiness that the animosity was over saying: “Thank god now I can like @OfficialChip again get this shit locked down time to make history!”
Thank god now I can like @OfficialChip again 😅😅 get this shit locked down time to make history!

Another fan who seemed slightly more cynical about the whole affair responded to the post saying: “@TheBugzyMalone @OfficialChip Come on now… at least pretend the beef was real”
Come on now… atleast pretend the beef was real

The notion that Chip and Bugzy Malone‘s lyrical warfare was some what orchestrated was given credence when Bugzy Malone stated in his online web series, The Bugzy Malone Show that in conversation with Chip the Londoner said; “Listen lets do this back-and-forth ting , it could shine a light on what you’re doing”, according to the Manchester-native, who went on to state that:“It was never a hatred ting”, confessing that “I wasn’t trying to end his career” a claim he says Chip allegedly leveled at him through middlemen.
Will Chip and Bugzy Malone link up for a big collaboration? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
