BRITHOPTV: [New Release] Jaykae (@Jaykae10) - 'Where Have You've Been?' E.P. OUT NOW! [Rel. 08/12/17] #Birmingham | #Grime

Birmingham Grime MC, Jaykae drops his highly-anticipated  Where Have You Been?’ E.P’,  released on his own label Doing Bits Worldwide.

Running at 27 minutes and 8 tracks long, ‘Where Have You Been?’   is a easy-listen with more  hip-hop-influenced grime production on the majority of the tracks, rather than the more frantic and  energetic vibe of traditional grime. Production is handled by Content-wise  the Smallheath MC gives insight into his life; having a child, losing friends and family, and dealing with depression which answers the question that he’s regular asked:”Jaykae, where have you been?”.

Keeping the features to very  minimum, Jaykae selects  four artist to join him; Murkage Dave, Tiga, YASeeN Rosay, & S-X  who all bless the project.  Surprisingly,Where Have You Been?’   is much more eclectic  sonically than expected, with  garage-influences on the track,‘Every Country Ft Murkage Dave’,  and even Afroswing vibes on ‘Let Me Go FT. Tiga & YASeeN Rosay’.

Jaykae shows his maturing as artist,  and can no longer just be considered a ‘Radio Set MC’, with well-structured songs  containing elements that will make them appeal  to non-grime fans.
