Stormzy  Makes Cameo Appearance In Channel 4 Sitcom Chewing Gum

South London Grime MC Stormzy made his transition into the acting world last year when he featured in Noel Clarke’s movie BrOTHERHOOD. It appears that  the 23-year-old has caught the acting bug and has accepted a short cameo appearance in series 2 of Channel’ 4’s sitcom Chewing Gum.

Chewing Gum is the brainchild of Writer /Actor Michaela Cole who plays the lead character Tracey.  In the scene in which Stormzy appears Tracey is visited by ex–boyfriend Connor who wants  some closure in regards to their past relationship.  To get out of a sticky situation, Tracey tells Connor she has a  new boyfriend, when Connor questions her, she convinces Connor that Stormzy is her new boyfriend, but she didn’t actually know he would show up at her work place!

The Wicked Skengman has been quiet  of recent,  scaling back his  social media a presence  to focus on finishing his highly-anticipated forthcoming debut album, but with a few minor big and small screen gigs in the bag, it’s likely we may see Stormzy take on a bigger acting role some time in the future.
