In this excerpt we talk Little Simz, who was absent from the BBC Sound of 2017 longlist despite notable career achievements relative to many of those artists nominated (congrats to Ray BLK, who has since been announced as the winner). This, shortly after Radio 1 vetoed Simz’s new album being played in full on air, and a Noisey piece bemoaning her lack of industry support (noisey.vice.com/en_au/article/lit…ustry-support-her).
