Margate rapper Mic Righteous has catapulted himself in to the consciousness of the UK scene, with his highly-anticipated debut-album,‘Dreamland’, which entered the UK official albums chart at No #34.

Released on Friday, October 28, 2016, ‘Dreamland’ shot up the iTunes albums chart to take the No. #1 spot for a short period, simultaneously taking the No #1 on the iTunes hip-hop/rap chart by default.

The official midweek chart was published on Monday, October 31, 2016 which showed that, ‘Dreamland had exceeded the expectations of many and had gone to No. #20, a strong indication that a top 40 position could be on the cards.

The official UK albums chart for the week commencing November 4, 2016 was published earlier today (Friday, November 4, 2016), revealing that ‘Dreamland’ had secured a top 40 position, although sliding down 14 place to No #34.

This is a massive achievement for Mic Righteous, who has been on his  independent-grind for a number of years, at times he has expressed his frustration with the UK scene, and what he feels is a lack of support, and opportunities for UK Hip-Hop artists who bring content a little left of the average. However, ‘Dreamland‘s success is evidence that there are fans who appreciate what he has to offer, and are willing to support with their money if the music is good.
