Jme (@JmeBBK) – ‘Man Don’t Care Ft. Giggs (@OfficialGiggs)’ Goes Silver

Boy Better Know C.E.O, Producer/ MC, Jme has just received his plaque in respect of his track, ‘Man Don’t Care Ft. Giggs’ being certified Silver by the BPI.

The video for ‘Man Don’t Care Ft. Giggs’ dropped on May 4, 2015, the same day as his third-studio album, ‘Integrity>’  (which also happens to be Jme‘s birthday), and  helped to catapault the album to No. #12 on the UK Official Album Chart the following week.

Produced by Birmingham-based Swiftabeater, ‘Man Don’t Care’ was an instant underground anthem, receiving  massive crowd reaction when ever it was performed, forcing collaborator Giggs to start his verse several times, following the track being wheeled-up when he hit the climactic part of his verse.

With no major push as a single, and no mainstream media support,‘Man Don’t Care’  grew organically  building on its momentum, at its height managing to get to No. #100, and No. #10 on the UK Official Single Chart, and the UK Official Independent Single Chart respectively.

Officially certified  Silver on June 3 2016, it took 13 months to rack up sales of over 200,000 units, to become one of the biggest selling grime tracks in history, behind Stormzy’s – ‘Shut Up’, and Skepta’s – ‘Shutdown’, and had accumulated 22,366,830 YouTube views at the time of writing this article.

Jme ‘s album ‘Integrity>’, from which ‘Man Don’t Care’ is taken from has sold over 40,000 units  in the UK to date, and may achieve silver status by the end 2016.

Congratulations  Jme
