Manchester’s leading Grime MC,  Bugzy Malone   has great cause for celebration as his, ‘Facing Time’  EP, smashes into the top 10 this week,  entering the  official UK albums chart at No.#  6.

Released on Friday, June 3, 2016,  ‘Facing Time’ shot up the iTunes albums chart to take the No. #1 spot,  simultaneously going to No #1 on the iTunes hip-hop/rap chart  by default.  It held its position on the iTunes album chart until Saturday (June 4), dropped 4 places to No. #5  on Sunday (June 5), then dropped a further one place to  No. #6 . on Monday (June 6)  (See chart analysis below).

The official midweek album chart was published on Tuesday (June 7),  which revealed that, ‘Facing Time’  had gone to No. #4 .

The official UK albums chart was published this evening (June 10)  which confirmed that,  ‘Facing Time’, had gone to No. #6 racking up sales of  over 7000 units in its first week,  surpassing Bugzy Malone‘s debut release, ‘Walk With Me’, which went to No. #8 in the Official UK lbums ohart last year with sales of  just under 5000 units.

This is a great achievement for the Mancunian, who just seems to be going from strength -to-strength, and further proving that it’s not necessary to have a big  label behind you in order to achieve success.
