South London MC, Nadia Rose  has announced via social media that she has signed on the dotted line with  Relentless Records / Sony Music.  We currently do not have any specific details in relation to the deal, but this news follows an announcement that was made last week by Link UP TV, who revealed that they have also signed a deal with the same label. It’s unclear at the moment whether the deals are connected, or whether Nadia Rose has her own situation.

 While expressing her happiness at reaching this milestone in her career, she also took time to reflect on here journey, sharing how her Grandmother’s death affected her to the point she thought she might not write music again. She tweeted:

Turning a negative into positive, she then expresses that  a career in music can be hard at times,  but using her Grandma as a source of inspiration gave her the will to persevere through the difficult times.

Nadia Rose has been building her profile in the UK scene over a number of years dropping music videos, doing freestyles, and hitting stages performing bringing her brand of quirky-fun artistry, avoiding the overtly sexual approach adopted by many female rappers.

The 22-year-old  is part of a new generation of MCs who no longer adhere to the sonic-demarcation   lines of yester year, and floats on any style, vibe, and BPM.

We are interested in seeing where this next step will take Nadia Rose musically, but it’s a great opportunity to take things to the next level.
