Sneakbo (@Sneakbo) Signs With Virgin/EMI

Brixton rapper, Sneakbo has announced via social media that after 6-years of grafting he has signed his first record deal with Virgin/EMI records.

The move will see the original Jetskiwaver join the artist roster alongside artist such as; Krept And Konan, Lethal Bizzle,  and Meridian Dan, and hopefully receive the push required to get his club-friendly music in the right places to secure the best chance for commercial success.

Sneakbo had a taste of chart success 2011,  when his debut single ‘Wave’ went to No. #48,  and subsequently in 2012 and 2013, when his singles ‘Zim Zima, and  ‘Ring A Ling’ respectively cracked the top 40.

On October 26, 2014,  Sneakbo dropped his  highly-anticpated project, ‘Certified’,  which we reported on following it hitting the No. #1 spot on iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap Chart.  He also collaborated with fellow south London rapper, Yungen on the track, ‘Ain’t On Nuttin’ which ended up being one of the biggest tracks of 2014.

Keeping  the momentum going he released a number of videos from ‘Certified’, then followed it up the DJ Whookid hosted ‘Jetskiwave 2’, which  received 6000 downloads in the first hour it was available.

Sneakbo has proved he can make credible  music with a commercial edge, and this transition to a label is come at the right time,  as the UK scene is  buzzing at the moment, with growing appetite for British urban music.

Congratulations to Sneakbo
