South London Grime MC, NoLay has “opened her eyes for the first time” since Sunday April, 24, when she was admitted to hospital following being involved in a very serious car accident, as we reported earlier in the week.
Speaking with the BBC, Nolay’s manger, Tyler Jones said:
“NoLay is in a minimal conscious state occasionally aware of her surroundings,” the MC’s manager,
“[She’s] incapable of producing any reliable responses verbal or otherwise at present that rule out any signs of brain damage.
“NoLay also has suffered a lot of bruising and swelling subsequently from the accident,” said the manager.
“NoLay has a fractured pelvis, fractured vertebrae, fractured sternum and a nasal fracture.”
NoLay recently premiered her new track video ‘Gotta Love It’ on Revolt TV in the promotional run up to the release of here forthcoming project,‘Grime, Guts, & Glory’.
Update: 10:12 pm Friday, April 29, 2016
A picture was posted on NoLay‘s social media accounts which showed the south London MC in a hospital bed on a drip, with the caption:“When you almost died but being a bad unstoppable bitch is life”
The picture shows bruising of NoLay‘s face and nose area consistent with what was reported by her manager yesterday (April 28). Her eyes are wide open which indicates she is fully conscious, and on the road to recovery. The caption to the picture indicates that she hasn’t lost her humour, and that NoLay may be back sooner than we anticipated.
