Park Street PR’s official Hip-Hop Showcase Beats & Bars is back with its first event for 2015. For the last three months the team at Beats & Bars have been working hard to take the event more national, so its history in the making as this is the first time the event steps outside of its home town of Wolverhampton.

Saturday 4th April promises to be a huge night with a selection of superb acts including Brixton born Genesis Elijah, a true UK legend whose been releasing underground anthems for over ten years. Also on the bill we have a set from Don’t Flop Champion Tony D alongside fellow Poisonous Poets Locksmyth & J Matrix, as well as Triple Darkness emcee Phoenix Da Icefire with Black Chronicle.

Platformz Records UK artists Big Ribzy, Alex-is & Trademark who have recently been booked for this year’s Boom Bap Festival will also be performing. Now signed to the Chicago based record label run by producer Rediculus these artists will be touring all over the UK throughout the summer. Also from the Midland’s we have Coventry legend Shakezpeare, another driving force in the current UK scene.

As with all their events, Beats & Bars obviously brings you the cream of the local talent and for our first Swindon show we have B Genius performing tracks off his brand new EP ‘Point Of Arrival’, alongside the likes of Terrartists, Dragz, Skrawler and Profound Poets. DJ’s on the night include UK veteran Tricksta from UK Runnings, as well as producer/DJ Don Piper from Bristol and Beats & Bars Swindon resident DJ Citizen Kane.
