Scientists Of Sound – ‘Bustin Loose’ [1992]

Old Skool Feature of the day for Thursday, March 5, 2015 is Scientists Of Sound’s track Bustin Loose‘. Scientists Of Sound were a UK Hip-Hop group from north west London that consisted of Bam , AqilJ-Blast, Cherok,  and Abyee.

Bustin’ Loose was never released as single itself, but featured on the ‘Sceintist Of Sound’ EP, released in 1992 on Bite It! Recordings.

Scientists Of Sound were definitely one of the  groups flying the flag for BritHop during the early 90’s, mixing Boom-bap production with the teachings  of Dr Malachi Z York of the Ansaarullah/Nuwaubian Community. Scientists Of Sound  were among the first British hip hop groups to makes big connections in the states, getting  DJ Evil Dee (Black Moon/ Beatminerz) to host their mixtape. Scientists Of Sound We salute you!
