Little Simz (@LittleSimz) wins ‘Breakthrough Artist Of The Year’ Award
It’s that time year again where awards are given out to artists for who’ve really made an impact over the last 12 months. In the UK, one of those artists would have to be Little Simz, who burst on to scene impressing with her rapid fire rhymes, that earnt her the a spot on the highly-respected Fire In The Booth freestyle feature, and a MOBO Award nomination.
The hard work Little Simz put in last year with the release of her ‘Age: 101’ trilogy, has paid off as she is announced winner of the ‘Breakthrough Artist Of the Year’ at Gilles Peterson‘s Worldwide Awards. She took to social media to inform her followers, in a via instagram post she said:
Continuing with the work ethic she displayed in 2014, Little Simz is keeping busy and will be be doing a special ‘Age101 LIVE’ session tomorrow (Thursday, January 22), which is already all sold out.
The pint-sized femcee has also done her own MNEK ‘The Rhythm’ remix which will be premiered tonight (Wednesday, January, 21), at 8pm GMT on Mistajams show on BBC 1xtra.
