Emerging as a member of East London collective Roll Deep, Riko has been one of grime’s biggest and best MCs since grime was a thing – and if the genre ever did die, he’d probably just rise again. He’d read the football results and talk shit on Slimzee’s afternoon Rinse FM show, he once intimidated an MC so hard on radio that the guy more or less disappeared, and he’s arguably in the form of his life at the moment: collaborating with Mumdance, Rabit, Alix Perez and more on recent tracks, and sharing a dubplate with Rihanna at the Red Bull Culture Clash.
