One of the highlights on the year so far, is DJ Charlie Sloth‘s Fire In The Booth Cypher which took place in September.  The self-dubbed “Best looking Fat guy in the universe”, invited some the hottest MCs from UK Hip-Hop and Grime  down to the BBC Radio One studios to showcase their skills.

Many were asked to contribute, but the ones who came through were; Akala, Bella Gotti aka Nolay, Blizzard, Deadly, Ghetts, Mic Righteous, P Money, Potter Payper, Saf One, Stormzy, and Squeeks. The cypher was aired on Saturday, September 13, 2014, and the video was uploaded to YouTube after the show.

We decided to capture the excitement and the opinions of UK rap and Grime fans, on who they thought most stood out in the cypher, with our poll (You can see the results here).  In just 45 days the Fire In The Booth Cypher has managed to hit 500,000 views, and at the time of writing this article had accumulated 501,474 view as can be seen above.

Big Shout out to all participants in the cyphers
