Coventry’s only Underground Jam Session Brings you a special event, so get ready for a night of UK Hip Hop..

This rapidly growing night is definitely like no other around our city and has received a positive response from local and afar as it attracts artists from all over the UK.

As a Thank you to all that support this night, ‘Straight Barrin’ would like to give you something back as a token of our appreciation so we have arranged THREE Headline acts for you to enjoy.

Let me introduce to you…

RICTA – This young artist is a great credit to our City and is truly an inspiration to many artists around Coventry..

His unstoppable triumph has so much to offer to us all and he is a Fully independent artist who certainly likes to keep himself busy. His determination has given him a proven track record as a MC and also in many other areas of the Music scene too with regular DJ sets across many of Coventry’s prime locations.. Ricta has toured his music around Europe and holds a total of NINE released Mixtapes, not to mention the production of his own Music and the editing his own videos…His years of hard work have definitely paid off and he is the proud Founder of his own Independent label – BACKBEAT RECORDS.

MrMELTA – This up and coming artist has caused much attention in his home town of Cambridge. His main love is UK Hip Hop but he also enjoys performing Grime and Drum and Bass. Consistently pushing genre boundaries, this guy is a little different to what you might expect from a Rapper. He is apart of Rhymepad Records With his released album – Snap out of it – and is featured on many Mixtapes Mr Melta has supported the likes of..
Genesis Elijah, Fliptrix and Verb-T, Terra Slim, AC,Super Nova, Dirty Dike, and more

STAKKA-LYRICS – This UK Hip-hop artist also from Cambridge and is Featured on and released over 10 albums and mix-tapes. Not only a Mc, but Stakka also gets involved as a Producer, Dj and a Radio show host . He is also a respected Founding member of Delegates of culture, Rhymepadradio and rhymepad records. All this work along with BOOMBAP’s RhymePad Open Mic and the continued love of Traditional beats makes this artist un-doubt ably Hiphop through and through!

This team of DJ’s are by far in a class of their own when you let them lose on the ‘Wheels of Steel’ they don’t just play music but they use the 1210s as an instrument and produce beats right in front of your eyes.. They deserve their space on any stage with a record far to much to mention but they will be most recognised at Coventry’s very own Godiva Festival, plus appearances at Glastonbury Festival and very recently taking control of the after party for PUBLIC ENEMY No1.

Come and take the stage at Coventry’s Latest underground Jam session. Full night of entertainment including a few special guests delivered to you by eMCeejust to help set the vibe….

And let’s not forget YOU !!!

To complete our night we are opening the stage to all you talented MCs, DJs, beatboxers, dancers, anybody that wishes to promote themselves with full use of our equipment. Invite your friends and show them what it takes to be a MC !
Maybe you wish to test the crowd with a new DJ set? We have a MIDI Pro-mixer so all you need is your files on MP3 or a handful of vinyl for the 1210s..
eMCee’s Playlist will be mainly UK Hip-hop, but you can promote yourself with any genre , so just remember to bring your instrumentals along.
